Think by now most of you guys shud had more or less learnt abt the auditing report by KPMG on the old NKF board. So is qt useless for me to repeat everything you all can find on the newspaper and websites like CNN right? Feel free to read up the KPMG report here :

From KPMG report, it make us realised dat how ridiculous the old Board of Directors can be when handling the finance of NKF. They basically are just playing with words for their own usage of the donated funds by the charitable Singaporeans over the years.

Who really makes Laptops??

Was reading in a forum and stumble across this topic on "Who really makes Laptops?". Out of curiosity I decided to read up to expand my knowledge, and I'm quite amazed to find out that some major laptops manufacturers dun actually manufacture their own laptops!! They bought barebone laptops (Definition in GREEN below) from ODMs and plug in RAM, Processor, Hard disk, Optical Drive and install softwares themselves. The final products they will then passed off with their sticker label!

Virtually none of the "Name Brand" manufacture their own laptops. The few notable exceptions are IBM, Acer, Toshiba, Twinhead and Apple. Yet, even Toshiba and Apple do not make all of their own. All of the rest buy their laptops from what is called an Original Design Manufacturer (ODM).

ODM - Original Design Manufacturers

ODMs are the true manufacturers who actually cast, and assemble the main unit which includes the motherboard, outside casing, and display. UEFA charge Essien

Chelsea midfielder Michael Essien has been charged by UEFA following his tackle on Liverpool's Dietmar Hamann in Tuesday's Champions League clash at Stamford Bridge.

The Ghana international caught the German midfielder below the knee after a late challenge during the goalless draw but was not punished by the referee. The 23-year-old summer signing from Lyon will face a charge of gross sporting misconduct at a hearing on December 15.

Essien's tackle proved the main talking point from the game as, despite the result, both sides had already qualified for the last 16.Hamann described the tackle as 'the worst I've suffered in my career' and questioned how Essien escaped formal punishment on the field from referee Herbert Fandel.

UEFA have now acted retrospectively after studying video footage of the incident, perhaps prompted by comments about the tackle from FIFA president Sepp Blatter.Blatter pointed out that video evidence can be used for incidents not seen by the referee at the time.This differs from another controversial incident involving Essien earlier in the season after a tackle on Bolton's Tal Ben Haim in a Barclays Premiership match.On that occasion Essien was booked by Rob Styles, but after seeing replays the official later said he should have sent him off.

The Football Association, however, did not have power to upgrade the yellow card to a red on video evidence as the incident was deemed to have been dealt with on the field.Essien's tackle on Hamann was not spotted by Fandel or his assistants.

After watching 红星大奖 last nite, I'm AGAIN irritated by Mr Mark Lee's "Thank You speech" after he clinched the last spot of "Top 10 Most Popular Male Artiste".

Just last year's 红星大奖, the 1st thing he said after receiving his award for the same "Top 10 Most Popular Male Artiste" award ->

"Why always announced my name last?!"

To me (at least) is a super unhumble speech. He had no respect for other contestants who failed to land the award. Why is he complaining when he had actually won it? Have he ever think of the feeling of the rest? Shud gif him the chance to sit thru out the whole award presentation without any chance to speak in the stage.

This year he give another "hao lian" speech to preach abt he is the "best". C'mon la, if Chou Chu Ming and Xie Shaoguang is still running for Top10 this year.. I dun even think he got the chance to stand there and gif his speech. I feel that Xu Zhengrong deserve his place in Top 10 than him. Cant stand this HL guy. Hope he will not win next year. If he is really the "best", WHY din he bag the other 2 awards (Best Comedy Performer and Best Variety Show Host) he is being nominated in? This simply show he is NOT the "best" at all.

SINGAPORE : Police have revealed that the couple who was found dead in a car in Choa Chu Kang died from cardiorespiratory failure.

On Saturday, the body of 33-year-old Jerome Peck was found slumped over that of 19-year-old Linda Gian.

The two were fully clothed, and were in the front passenger seat of Peck's car, parked at a multi-storey car park at Block 462A.

There were no visible signs of injuries on both the young woman, who was single, and Peck, who was married with two children.

While preliminary findings from the autopsy show both had died from cardiorespiratory failure, it's not known what triggered the condition.

That may be revealed only when the results of their blood tests are out.

One of the symptoms of extreme exposure to carbon monoxide poisoning include cardiorespiratory failure.

Peck and Gian were cremated on Tuesday.

A bunch of PROFESSIONAL soccer players only manage to beat minnows Laos by a goal.. HAH! Wat a joke.. Not to forget 6 of the 1st team players are from the Tiger Cup winning team.. so wat it said abt the current national team? Without Alam Shah and Indra our attack is simply CMI.. Without Daniel Bennett no1 can make a decent rocket shot outside the box..

After an important draw (0-0) against Real Betis at Anfield, had ensured the Kops to be in the last 16 of Champions League. Not a great result for the defending Champions one may argue.. Considering the Milans (AC n Inter) thrashed their opponent with a convincing 4-0 scoreline.. However.. ensuring our position in the last 16 is more important than win with a big margin!

Surprisingly, I'm not as disappointed after seeing Liverpool being mauled by the "mighty" Chel$ki.. I hope the defeat will be a wake up call for Benitez to rethink about his NEW tactic of employing Peter "Beanpole" Crouch as a lone striker upfront..

We are getting more predictable wif Crouch leading the strike force alone.. It's no doubt abt his aerial capability and his ball controlling.. But Liverpool is not fully benefitting from Crouch's knockdowns b'cos there isn't any 1 there receiving them.. IS Benitez relying on Crouch to head into goal wif all the crosses supply to him?

I would really like to see someone is partnering Crouch.. supports him and receives his knockdowns.. Hopefully Morientes will recover real soon.. OR we could haf a change of partnership for different strategies.. Morientes-Crouch, Cisse-Crouch, Cisse-Morientes..

Went for a gathering dinner at a Zhi Char stall in CCK wif frens on Tuesday nite and in total we spent $40.80

So decided to try my luck on Wed and decided to bet on our total spending and the last 4digits of the receipt invoice number.

Checking on the 4D results in Singapore Pool website on Wednesday nite and realised that I'd missed the 1st prize by a single digit!!!!

The world crushed on me!! Sobz.. So near YET so far!!!
If we had spent $1 more I could had striked the 1st prize!! Haaaaaaizzzz! $2000 juz flew past me wif a breeze.. (T-T)

A surprise line up by Rafa Benitez, including Pongolle in the 1st 11 and Gerrard warming the bench, had yielded a victory for Liverpool. 2 well taken goal in the 1st 14mins sealed the game for Liverpool's 1st CL group match against Real Betis in Seville.

In 2nd min, Pongolle received a high ball from Carragher. He trapped it down nicely wif 1st touch, tk a glance at Betis GK whu is out of line, next moment Pongolle executed a cheeky chip over the GK whu frantically racing back to his goal mouth but is all too late! Liverpool took an early lead in Betis home ground! What a GOAL!

Garcia evaded his marker and poked e ball narrowly past Betis GK! 2-0! Betis begin to panick further for the rest of the 1st half!

Haha!! Weilian had turned against all odds to make it to grand final in Sept 1 in e place of Junyang..

Guess all e favourism and biasness from e judges had caused backfire, neutral viewers had turned off by them and voted for Weilian instead.. and Weilian got e last laugh!

Congrates to Weilian and hope he can put up a gd show in Indoor Stadium against Kelly..

After watching today's 绝对Superstar.. it is super obvious that the judges are mostly bias towards JY esp Ye Pei Fen.. all e positive comments and not much negative ones.. frankly, JY's performances r realli so-so onli 2day yet he can get 40+ for 2 out of 3 songs..

in my opinion WL had done exceptionally well for his Heaven Knows.. even all e Superstar contestants gif a stand up ovation aft his song.. YET he scored onli 30+.. wat a joke.. WL realli deserves alot better scores.. too bad most of e judges r against him..

JY nv 感动 me at all.. onli WL does..
yet most of e judges claims they r being "感动到麻点" n dat Li Fei Hui's comments most 跨张.. i dun even haf a single goosebump lor..

pui.. all lies! Unfair treatment.. cos WL has no teacher as judge..

now realli hope WL can make it to grand final.. we listeners got ears to listen den those judges who bias towards their own student...

It is really disheartening upon reading the news.. This young man left his family in his native Brazil for a greener pasture is UK and send back money home.. It is reported that he will be heading back home to Brazil in the end of the year and hoping to start a business wif his brother.. Everything is dashed e moment a UK policeman standing directly above shot him five times in the head and killed him.. Deepest condolense to his family and God Bless Jean..

Yesterday went shopping wif darling at Marina Square cos heard now it's newly revamp and qt cool so we decided to check out.. Was walking at City Link towards MS when I noticed that Flash & Splash is having a 2days 15% Sales from 2-3 July.. Since my current flip-flops is gg to turn 1yr old soon so decided to get myself a new pair.. and went in to tk alook.. But the City Link outlet doesnt haf much designs.. so me and darling head to MS to walk walk 1st.. the present MS looks vdifferent now.. much more modern and refreshing (It got to be rite? If not why bother to renovate in the 1st place? bleahz)

And we decided to goto e Killeney outlet to haf a coffee:


After coffee we continue to tour ard MS b4 heading to Plaza Sing to check out the Flash & Splash outlet there for more designs... After much consideration, I finally got this:

Yawnz... pretty tired aft 3days 2nites chalet at Coasta Sand Pasir Ris! Now is the best time to book a chalet cos the rate is pretty low... at $99 u gotta book 3D2N stay and u can choose for a free upgrade of room to double story!

Bugis Carrot Cake

Hmmz.. will recommend this carrot cake stall to all carrot cake lover... I've tried his "white" carrot cake which is really tasteful, but my darling told me she had tried both "white" and "black" and she said "black" is even more tasteful! hahah yet to try out his "black" one... for $2 the serving is qt alot! hehehz...

Back From Reservist (2June - 10June)

Finally, my reservist has ended yest! The feeling of wearing the same old green is stil as fresh as if I'm stil in service.. my fellow campmates stil looks the same... not much changes.. In a way, this reservist is gd cos I gotta meet up with my platoon mates who haf not seen them for the past 1yr+.. but the sickening feeling of stayin in camp is stil as f**k up as ever.. haf to book in back in camp in Sunday night is stil as miserable... I'm jus so glad I only haf to spend 8days in camp! Been feeling super low on the 1st day of reporting... Haf done some repelling and roping down training and a 1 night around Tekong Island tour, which gifted me some blisters and HEAT RASH! Argh... simple unbearable! Luckily it's all over...

Things haf all been turning against me.. Failing 1 module, 2 IPPT attempts and the super irritating ICT... my failed module really been bothering me lately... everyday without fail I'll be saded by it... haaaaaaaaaaaiz! so miserable! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH~! now waiting for the reply for my review... hopefully something is done and juz gimme a D!~ I'll be damn happy liaoz~

Missed my darling Jun so much during the 8days reservist.. so used to see her everyday and suddenly cannot see her for a week seems so long for me! gotta catch up more wif her! heheh (",)
